Croft is one of the oldest Port houses founded in 1588 and renowned for their vintage port that can be aged for generations.
It’s the vineyard, not heritage that makes Croft so famous and important, the cornerstone of their distinctive house style is the famous Quinta da Roeda vineyard home to some of the oldest vines in the Portugese Douro Valley.
This vintage Port has beautiful aromas of violets and blueberries with hints of blue slate. Full body, medium sweet with chewy tannins and a long, long finish. A leafy, stemmy, nutty undertone to this with hints of shaved milk chocolate.
Only 5,000 cases were produced of this foot-trodden wine. Refined and sublime.
