Croft is one of the oldest Port houses founded in 1588 and renowned for their vintage port that can be aged for generations.
It’s the vineyard, not heritage that makes Croft so famous and important, the cornerstone of their distinctive house style is the famous Quinta da Roeda vineyard home to some of the oldest vines in the Portugese Douro Valley.
The Croft 10 YO Tawny is a blend of different years, aged for an average of 10 years in oak casks, then bottled for immediate drinking.
Long ageing in casks in the cool and dark lodges of Vila Nova de Gaia gives it a combination of rich mellow fruit coupled with slight nuttiness. Beautifully soft and round in the mouth and full of ripe fig flavors.
An excellent balance and concentration of flavours and aromas which greatly appeals to the connoisseur.
