Champagne Ayala is one of the longest established Champagne houses. It has been based in Aÿ, at the heart of the great French Champagne vineyards, since it was founded over 150 years ago.
Independent and family owned, it is still today the archetype of a great and historic house, producing top quality wines which are enjoyed throughout the world for their freshness and elegance.
Champagne Ayala has enjoyed a revival of fortunes in recent years, the quality of its champagnes has never been better. If you have neglected this house in the past, it’s time to rethink.
The No. 7, 2007 Champagne is ripe and wonderfully aromatic. Nuts, stone fruits, florals and some underlying minerality. Apricot kernel notes with hints of creamy peaches. A nice flick of acidity backs it all up with great length at the end.
A champagne of sunshine and plushness. This is a very good champagne indeed.
