The iconic French Hennessy distillery was founded in 1765.
Inspired by a Cognac created in 1817 in response to a request from the future king of England, George IV, Hennessy V.S.O.P has built its reputation across nearly 2 centuries.
'Very Special Old Pale' was actually an English driven categorization that referred to the brandies sold in London during the Victorian era.
A blend of 60 eau-de-vie (a clear fruit brandy that is fermented and double distilled), it is aged up to 15 years.
This is floral on the nose, richly smooth and abounding in marmalade and dried fruit on the palate. Beautifully balanced, with much finesse and a multitude of libation applications.
This is the quintessential Cognac.
