Distilled at the site of the original Tuatara Brewery in Reikorangi on New Zealand's wild Kapiti Coast, mates Chris & Simon have spent a few good years perfecting their gin.
They distill a spirit with a nose that says 'gin' loudly and clearly, and which makes a clear flavour statement served straight up as well as when served with tonic.
Each of their labels tell the story of the ingredients, the place or the people behind what's in the bottle.
This creation starts by distilling a dry gin with a little less spice and a little extra orris root for floral sweetness. They then macerate raspberries in the gin for a month, strain, and add the juice pressed from locally grown rhubarb.
