Gosling's Rum was founded in 1806 by London wine and spirits merchant James Gosling. Gosling's is one of the oldest businesses in Bermuda and continues to be managed by the Gosling family.
The Black Seal name comes from the black wax that was used to seal reclaimed champagne bottles when originally produced.
Goslings flagship rum is a blend of pot still and continuous still rums imported into Bermuda and aged in single-use bourbon barrels. The result is a rich and complex dark rum.
Gosling’s Black Seal has a rich, intricate flavour, well balanced and nuanced with butterscotch, vanilla and caramel.
A platinum medal winner at the Beverage Tasting Insitute, it is deep, assertive and highly flavoured. The rum is fragrant with herbal sharpness and at the finish there is a softness and elegance. A most complex, unusual spirit.
