Osawa Wines offers a select range of premium quality wines made exclusively from grapes grown at their Maraekakaho vineyard. Along with a unique micro-climate influenced by the nearby Kaweka Ranges, soils in this region are renowned for their diversity.
Ageing this wine in French oak barriques helps to enhance and cedar and earthy characters along with a richly textured, balanced palate. Supple on the palate, this is a hallmark of a good Hawke's Bay blended red and fine grained tannins are developed with extended time on skins before pressing.
A wine is approachable and capable of developing further complexity with medium to long term aging.
